Annual Lunch

It has been a custom that KCLEA Summer Lunch is on the Monarchs Birthday to network with other KCLA members

partners and their guests over drinks followed by a two course lunch.

In 2025 it is Saturday 14st June and doors will be open from 12 noon.

The venue is the 8th Floor of Bush House – just across the newly pedestrianised Strand from Kings
from 1940 to 2012 the Home of the BBC External Services better known by their current name of BBC World Service -
Broadcasting around the world in Radio and Television – and the vast website in over 40 languages
It was where Peter Weitzel KCLEA President started to work full time in the BBC and he has invited Kings Engineers
who have worked in Broadcasting - and his first boss at BBC Bush House.

It is always an event where members, partners and their guests remake friendships and share stories
and find out more about the role Kings Engineers and Kings Engineering played in yesterdays world
and how Kings Engineers are making today and tomorrow's world a better place.

If you would like to get in touch with those you graduated with – the Alumni Office can help you find

We enter by the Centre Block Door at the Aldwych opposite Kingsway.

We meet from noon over drinks – with a few displays of Kings Engineering and other items of interest
-as we catch up on what has happened over the past year.

We then move to the open areas to see the RAF Fly past at 1pm – we are right under the route ….
And then come back in for a two course Lunch and more conversations with KCLEA members their guests,
recent graduates and selected students.

There will be minimal speeches – as the purpose is for those there to remember their time at Kings
and to share the achievement of their lives and very varied Careers until we drift away from 2:30pm
– and leave the rooms by 3:30pm.

We exit the way we came in by the Centre Block Door at the Aldwych opposite Kingsway.
